Lunchtime. Ken and Usagi walk into a small restaurant near the office. A waiter greets them and brings menus. Ken tries to order on his own.

こちらへどうぞ。ご注(ちゅう)文(もん)は？
ケン・心(こころ)の中(なか)
ご注(ちゅう)文(もん)は？ "What is your order?" だよね。なに を 食(た)べますか…じゃないんだ。みじかい！
ケン
えーと…うさぎさん、なに が いいですか？
うさぎ
ここ の からあげ、まじ やばいよ！からあげ 食(た)べてみてね。
ケン
じゃあ…からあげ の ていしょく を ください。
うさぎ
あたし は しょうがやき！あと、おみず を 二(に)つ ください。
てんいん
かしこまりました。少(しょう)々(しょう)お待(ま)ちください。
ケン
あ、すみません。おはし が…おはし を ください。
うさぎ
あはは！ケン、いま「おはし が ください」って言(い)いかけたじゃん。
ケン
え…あ！「を」ですよね。おはし を ください…。

Usagi
Two people, yeah.

Right this way, please. Your order?
Ken [thinks]
"Go-chuumon wa?" So it means "Your order?" Not "What will you eat?"... So short!
Ken
Um… Usagi-san, what's good?
Usagi
The fried chicken here is seriously amazing! You gotta try the karaage.
Ken
Then… the karaage set meal, please.
Usagi
I'll have the ginger pork! And two waters, please.
Waiter
Certainly. Just a moment, please.
Ken
Oh, excuse me. Chopsticks [ga]… chopsticks, please. (catches his particle mistake mid-sentence)
Usagi
Ahaha! Ken, you almost said "chopsticks ga kudasai" just now!
Ken
Huh… oh! It's "wo," right? Chopsticks wo kudasai…
Ken [thinks]
Mixed up "ga" and "wo" again… Usagi-san is kind, but she catches everything…!

～をください — "Please give me ~"
When you want to ask for something — ordering food, requesting an item — use [thing] を ください. The particle を marks what you want, and ください means "please give me."
からあげ の ていしょく を ください。
"The karaage set meal, please."
おみず を 二(に)つ ください。
"Two waters, please."
Ken's near-miss: he almost said おはし が ください. The particle が marks a subject, but ください needs を because you're requesting an object. Think of it as: "Please give me [を] this thing." Usagi caught him — and so will you, next time!

～てください — "Please do ~"
While ～をください asks for a thing, ～てください asks someone to do something. Take the て-form of a verb and add ください:
少(しょう)々(しょう)お待(ま)ちください。
"Please wait a moment."
The waiter used お待(ま)ちください — a polite form of 待(ま)ってください ("please wait"). You'll hear this everywhere in restaurants and shops.
- ～をください = "Give me [thing], please" (requesting an object)
- ～てください = "Please [do something]" (requesting an action)
Quick comparison: おみず を ください = "Water, please" (give me the thing). お待(ま)ちください = "Please wait" (do the action). Same ください, different patterns!
